The Fringed Hour

Hello, my name is Emily McFadden and I am a native Oregonian, born and raised in Boring, OR. In 2014 I moved to Bend, OR with my husband and 2 kids. Creativity has always ran through my veins, my mom is a sculptor and my great aunt was also a bead artist. In 2020 I found a love for making earrings with seed beads. I love that I can be creative and make totally different designs, sizes and styles while staying consistent with earrings. Attention to detail in my work, collaborating, and sourcing high quality materials from other small businesses is of utmost importance to me.
I really enjoy being a maker, and my inspirations are limitless. From a stack of dinner plates to the wing of a butterfly, I can see beaded earrings in anything. I typically start with the colors, and the designs come next.
Since I have been schooling my kids at home for the past 12 years, I do my beading in the fringe hours of the day, I also make beaded fringe—and so—The Fringed Hour was born.
In my free time, I enjoy gardening, reading, waterskiing, and camping with my family.
