In the past I've enjoyed fashioning jewelry through the lost wax process. Over the years I began working in the lapidary arts. This started while gold dredging in rivers and creeks in the Siskiyou Mountians where I came across the most beautiful stones. They looked like large emeralds, which I later learned to be a variety of Vesuvianite, Jade and Grossulare Garnet. For the past 15 years I have enjoyed many adventures finding these beautiful stones and fashioning them into jewelry and other works of art. Now in my lapidary shop I work on a variety of semi precious stones from our region and other parts of the world. I have worked with material as small as a couple of karats, to weighing over three hundred pounds.
